Currently trying to get the word out about a new programme for unemployed women in Stockport. The Digital Wave is a short training programme that I’m running next month in Romiley, Stockport. It has been created especially for women who would like to learn more about using computers or using the internet.
Over the last few years, it has become very clear to me that one of the best ways to prevent people being digitally included to to involve human beings, rather than just herding people online and expecting them to teach themselves. It is the main reason that I enrolled my business as an Online Centre offering free digital skills training.
The Digital Wave programme is fully funded by the European Social Fund, so there is no charge for anybody to attend, but a condition of the funding is that attendees must be unemployed women from Stockport.
