CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Purpose
Village Web Company CIC is committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability or religion.
This code of conduct outlines the expectations for behaviour as well as the consequences for unacceptable behaviour.
We invite all guests, employees and those on placements to help us realise safe and positive experiences for everyone.
2. Expected Behaviour
• Refrain from discriminatory, demeaning, or harassing behaviour and comments.
• Be considerate and respectful of others in the co-working space.
• Alert Claire or another member of the team if you notice that someone is distressed or see a dangerous situation.
3. Unacceptable Behaviour
Unwanted behaviour includes, but is not limited to, any of the following: bullying, intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning conduct by guests or staff.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, race, disability, religion, sexual orientation, inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images, deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of work, learning or other events; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
4. Consequences Of Unacceptable Behaviour
Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated by anybody within the Village Web Company space.
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately and Village Web Company CIC may take action including immediate expulsion without warning or refund.
5. What To Do If You Witness Or Are Subject To Unacceptable Behaviour
If you are subject to unacceptable behaviour, notice that someone else is being subject to unacceptable behaviour, or have any other concerns, please notify Claire or another member of the team.
6. Scope
We expect all guests, event attendees and staff, including those on work placements and volunteers to abide by this code of conduct at all times.
